ABOUT

Honouring Harry Adam Jones: A Life Full of Love, Strength, and Awareness for Kidney Disease

Three years ago, Harry Adam began an unexpected and difficult journey with kidney disease. Like so many others, he was unaware of his condition until it had progressed significantly. Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) is often called a silent disease because it rarely presents symptoms in its early stages. In fact, research shows that as many as 9 in 10 adults with CKD don’t even know they have it. This lack of awareness makes education and early detection crucial.

Harry Adam was more than just a statistic, he was a vibrant, passionate individual who touched countless lives. He had a zest for life that was contagious, and his sparkling personality made him someone people naturally gravitated toward. Always willing to lend a helping hand, he was deeply devoted to his family, (parents, sister Ashley, brother-in-law Joshua, grandmother, aunts, uncles & cousins), his fiancé, Nicole, and his beloved nieces, Sloane and Mia. The bond he shared with those little girls was undeniable; their eyes would light up whenever they saw him, and his love for them was fierce and unwavering.

Beyond his relationships, Harry Adam had a deep love for sports, especially his favourite team, the Miami Dolphins. Whether it was watching a game, working out, or educating others about clean eating, he poured his heart into everything he did. His knowledge of health and fitness was impressive, and he never hesitated to share what he had learned with those who were curious.

Despite the hardships of his illness, Harry Adam, remained a fighter. His resilience and determination gave those around him hope, and we all truly believed he would overcome this terrible disease. Though his time with us was far too short, the impact he made will last forever.

In his memory, it’s essential that we continue raising awareness about kidney disease. Early detection can make all the difference, and education is key in helping others avoid the same battle. Let’s honour Harry Adam by spreading knowledge, advocating for regular health screenings, and supporting those facing similar struggles.

Harry Adam was a light in this world, and though he is no longer physically with us, his spirit lives on in the love he gave, the lessons he taught, and the lives he touched.

This will not be an annual charity tournament but rather, a memorial in his honour.
